It is located in a strategic position, overlooking the surrounding area and providing defense when needed. Over time, the ruins of the Grafenstein Castle gradually became abandoned and destroyed. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the castle experienced multiple wars and conflicts, ultimately falling into ruins.
